Name: Jennifer Carter CommentsI just got my little Chewky in December. Inever knew birds could be so much fun. I have no kids, but he has taken that place. I love him very much. I still don't know alot about these guys but I am trying to learn all I can. I want my guy to have the best. I was at my moms when he flew on my Step-daughter. We tried to find the owners but couldn't. I am so sad for them because he is such a wonderful little bird. I couldn't imagine being without him. I picked your bird on the photo album, because Chewky looks like that when he is on he's front perch. He is so adorable. Nice to meet you, Jennifer

I have a 5 month old quaker that I am trying to teach to talk... but he is not picking it up. Oliver is a real cutie, by the way. Thanks for sharing him.

Name: Rick CommentsMy litte guy's name is Rocko. He's the most affectionate bird I've ever had. He likes to cuddle up next to my left hand as I type on the keyboard. Well, in general, he just likes to snuggle a lot. He even takes naps with me. What a great, loveable little animal!

And as you know, the years had passed for him to learn all that he was capable of learning. I've had him for about five yrs. now and he has been treated like a KING. He knows it and eats it up. I love him so much and he loves me equally. I must go now. I will send more comments later. I hope Oliver lives a long and happy life.

Her favorite foods are peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, apples, and pasta. I call her Q-cumber because she is plump and green! But it does'nt stop him form talking, or holloring, When i get home on lunch break he get off his cage (don't ask me how he has it all figered out) pardon my spelling! and comes to see me, he does not do this to anyone else. I work at a vet clinic in Clarksville Ar, and the doctor trimes his beak for me, the second time i had it trimed the doctor walked in the door and kermet said uh-oh!, it was very funny. Like i said he is my best friend and i love him to death. Well i will go now and thanks for sharing your friend with me.

Our Senegal squeals like Oliver does, but none of our Quakers seem to appreciate "technology", either. They throw fits over the vacuum, the hair drier, the curling iron (which makes no noise at all), the mixer, the blender, and the TV if you leave it on too long. (It interrupts their "talking time". >:)

My husband is his adversary but gives him a lot of attention also. Do you have any suggestions? My bird, like yours, loves cheese but I read in Bird Talk not to give them cheese because they can not digest it. I thought I might check with the vet on this. Jerry is the most entertaining pet we have ever had. We laugh all day at him. I love the quakerville site. Nikki

He has to go to the doctor once a month to have it trimmed down. It will cost me around $4,200.00 to have this done for the rest of his life. He is worth every penny of it.
