Commentsthis is a test, sorry... jmd
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsHi there! hope you are feeling better..... This is a test of your guestbook e-mail. please FORWARD it back to me so I know you got it and it's working right.... jmd
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsNeat pictures. It's nice to see all of you after reading your postings to the quaker list.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsHey Mommy Birdy! What a lovely family you have!! Gabby and I had a good time seeing and reading bout your lil green buddies! TTLY; Sheryl and Gabby
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsNever owned Quaker before or a bird for that matter. Love animals. In-laws have African Grey. Seperated from hubby, he has our three cats and Akita and 125 gallon salt aquarium. I am on the Quaker mail list. See ya there.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsWe really liked your page. Course we enjoy the info on the quaker list from you and love your stories. We are very happy that you have so many quakers and that they have such a good home.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsGreat page, and great stories! How funny that Kiki took to your son like that! I love the tree branch idea, I think I'm going to borrow it! Ernie says "hi!!"
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsWe are always nice. (Joker-except when we're NOT!) Joker is my 1st bird ever. I really think it is great your whole family has hearts big enough to love your QPs and to take the time to interact with them and give up most of the living room to them. Ha! your story of how you became slaves to 4 QPS was so moving. I loved it! I want another bird (Joker fell in love with a cute little lovebird on one of our outings to a pet shop, the feeling was totally mutual I might add, they couldn't take their eyes off each other and sounded so sweet and loving talking bird talk to each other I hated to leave) BUT I live alone in an apt. house and since I got Joker no pets except fish are allowed. I got in under the wire with Joke, so he was grandfathered in. I am on disability SS so Joke has me all day usually. He seems to be the mascot of the 72 apt. house I live in and everyone knows his name (not mine) !!! :-) Every- one likes him because he looks at them and is so attentive when they speak to him. I guess I've bent your ear long enough but it seems as if all us QP slaves are family! Great site thanks for taking the time and trouble to put in up. :-) Joker & Peggy
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsHi Mommy Bird, et. al. It's nice to meet you after reading you frequently on the quaker list. I like the idea of a tree for your birds. Pava would really like that. Congratulations on such a nice family...including the humans. Sandra
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsI am so new to the whole internet thing. I am still using my baby sister's computer. I love my quaker. No one seems to understand what personality they have andI have no one to compare notes with. It is neat to be able to see other quaker babies. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsHi Quacker, KiKi, Stoney and Cookie, we love your page. You have a great mom!! We want a super gigantic tree like yours!! See you later Casper and Hayden
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsI always love seeing other's "fids" and hearing their stories. Thank you for having a webpage accessible to everyone.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsMommybirdy...I love your quakers!!!! I have 2 myself. baby is a one person bird also, bites anyone that gets near her but me. It took me about 3-4 wks to get her to accept me. I had alot of battle wounds also. Rocky on the other hand will not let anyone near him...still working on him!!<G>
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsYour Pictures were nice to see.Looks like you have a floor lamp for full spectrum lighting. Know that I have seen your picture ,when I get your messages I will be able to see you which i think is very nice. Your Friend Betty fron the Quaker list.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsHi Mommy Birdy! Phoenix and I belong to the Quaker list, and alwways enjoy hearing your tales of the flock. I became a slave by accident. Phoenix was waiting for me on my back deck when I came home from work one day, and try as I might, I can find no to claim her(?). Loved your photos! ttyl
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsHi Mommy Birdy......Just cheking out your web page.. really a nice one!!!!!
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsMommy Birdie, What a neat site! Alas, I know about never getting to name your birds, our two also came to us named so we had no choice but to keep the names they were given. All your quakers look very happy and well-adjusted. They seem like a nice gang; okay, except for KiKi who I know is like Oliver in temperment. That's all for now, Bye Anna and Oliver and Axel
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsVery Cool!!!
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsMommy Birdy: It has been nice to get to know you on the Quaker List You have had me laughing in tears with some of your revolutions and stories. Please give Quacker a kiss and hug for his hurt toe. Please keep us informed on all you trails and tribulations. Isn't about time for a new bird or two? Hee hee! Just kiddin' Lynn
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsHey, It's about time you got some pictures up. They are great and what fun to see the little guys you talk about so much!!
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsGreat stories and pictures
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsWonderful page, it was so great getting to see your babies pictures. I got tears in my eye's remembering all you went through with Cookie. I wish my 4 got along as well as yours do. Mine tag team up against eachother. ;) thanks for sharing them with the rest of us
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsLove your site Mommy Birdy!!! Great pictures. Love the tree. NancyO
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsI love that you wrote so much on your quakers. E-mail me anytime
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsFour Quakers! I hope you don't live in an apartment. Is it very loud? Do you have to take chocolate into another room to eat it? I do, and I only have one quaker. How did you get your Quakers to talk? Gonzo only says a few things, and has a very quiet, mumbly voice. She is trying to type with her beak now, but is only hitting the space bar. Quakers are very cool. I want to go to the University of Chicago to study the Quakers in Hyde Park. Have fun with your birdies.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsQuite a crew you have there. You're a woman after my own heart - ask how I got my second cat....at the vets ;) Four quakers - what a racuous crowd it must be at your house. Althugh I must confess I would love another couple of quakers. But they'll have to wait till Niles and Naphne are nicer and we have a house. I have five tiels, two quakers, two cats and a husband...so it gets pretty noisy here, too. Great pictures -gonna have to show to my husband and mom. Take care.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsI have had Tooley for almost 8 years. The last couple years I have been unable to spend the time training him and he has gotten into a nipping state. I use to be able to handle him with not problem. He says many things and cluckes like a chicken. Says"Dance Tooley La la la la", "Here kitty kitty, HELP HELP" and several other things, He chatters alot!!!! It sure seems like he knows what he is saying. His cage is right here next to me and my computer. His buddy is a cockatiel and in the little room is another cocatiel, and 10 canaries. Im trying to breed them, but they are rather old I believe. I did get one little one last spring. But Tooley is my love and Im glad to hear he could be 30 to 35 years old. Seeing as I just turned 51 I'm happy to know he will be with me a long long time. I got him in Florida when he was 3 days old. Yep I like my Tooley. Thanks for you page it has been fun.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsVery nice page! I see what you mean about birds just *falling* on you. But so much love! LOL Anyway, Just wanted to stop in and say great page and *Hi*. Jody and Tiki
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsYou have some lovely birds..I have ababy quarker , his name is marlow. he is 6 months old, hes says a few words clearly now,.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsDo you know of any way to potty train this babies????
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsI love your home page. I actually found you by looking at your budgie pictures because I have two budgies and two cockatiels, Sidney, Sweetie, (budgies) and Matilda (Tilly), and Nigel (Nigie, now that she's laid eggs). However, I have been looking into getting a Quaker and have heard a lot of good things about them. I keep an eye on them in the stores and they are so cute! Hopefully, someday! Thanks for the page.
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy Comments
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsSorry about my first e-mail, I hit enter instead of tab. Oops! Loved your family pictures and comments. Can't imagine how loud it gets when the birds are all excited though. Emmie seems to make my ears bleed at times. I enjoy your comments on the chat line too. It's nice to listen to people who are experienced. Conni
Form_Name: Mommy Birdy CommentsMy quaker is a possessive little squirt! Gotta love him though. Ideally, he would like to remover my cockatoo's eyes! Needless to say, they aren't allowed out together!
Commentsthis is a test..... Hi there!
CommentsThis is a guestbook check. Does it work??? I have changed the page a little, check it out. jmd
CommentsThis is a guestbook check. Does it work??? I have changed the page a little, check it out. OOPS........... This was supposed to go to Da Mama and Wishbone and Wozzo....

CommentsLOL "be nice" ...... I just love everything I have seen so far on your web page. Owning a quaker I can agree with you that they are special. You did a fantastic job of present yours, and have such cute pictures. I have it bookmarked. I want to make sure I see it all.
CommentsI also aquired my Quaker through someone that didn't have time. I ran a large pet store in Toronto. Boo-Boo was a hand fed baby and was sold to a couple who retuned him. Boo-Boo sat on my hand and said 'hello' that was it, love at first site. He's been the most important thing in my life since he came to 'boos me around'!
CommentsI think your page is very nice. I love MY quaker, Kookla, very much, and someday I hope to get more. But, at the moment, there is no more room in my house, not to mention I'm only 12 and need time for school and my 12 pets. I have an iguana, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits, a duck, a chicken, 2 guinea pigs, 2 cockatiels, and of course, Kookla. If you would like to e-mail me, go ahead. I love to get mail from people who like animals as much as me.
CommentsYour birds are wonderful. They definately have distinct personalities. I don't have pets because I am away from home so much. It wouuld be cruel to leave an animal alone all the time.
Commentswen would love to be slaves to a quaker!! we`re looking for th perfect little green chicken . Have any ideas???

Commentswe recently adopted another quacker as companion for our other bird ,and was wondering if all your birds get along. our 1st bird seems to be a little aggresive towards the new one.we have put them both together in a big avairy cage and thought they would get along since they are flock type birds. any feedback would be appreciated,
CommentsI loved your web page. I only have one quacker but he is such a joy. I would like to buy another one to keep Bo company. Do you have an idea where I can get another one? Thanks, Julie

CommentsI have been trying to find a Quaker for my kids who are ages 6 and 9 years old. I was told that a Quaker is to aggressive and they would not recommend a Quaker for kids. Have you had any problems? If so what type of bird could I get that we can teach to talk and works well with kids. Thanks, Sabrina
CommentsWow, I have sure enjoyed reading your pages and viewing your great photos! It is clear that you have some very spoiled and lucky qp's, lol. Thanks for sharing.
CommentsThis is nice. I just got my baby and we are learning together on what to do. Can you give me any information on Quakers and the things they like or should be doing and on training them? Thanks Judi and Smiley

CommentsI love the stories here but I have a problem that I solved that many of you might. My quaker Penny has the bad habit of going into "Attack Mode" and biting my wife on the neck and or face to the point she sometimes draws blood. I don't have this problem or so I thought, till a few days ago. I was opening up some mail when Penny bit me hard on the cheek. In reflex I swung my hand up and hit her with a partially opened letter. Penny went to bite again and I swatted her twice more till she stopped and sat there startled. Then she was fine and loving as usual. My Wife has been complaining that Penny constantly bites her for no reason in the past three months. We've had Penny for a year. I told my wife about my experience with the envelope and suggested she do the same. She refused, fearing she would hurt Penny. Penny has never bitten me in "Attack mode" before and I sorta hoped she would do it again so I could experiment. I took a business sized envelope, sealed it, and cut one end off so I could put my fingers inside. I made sure the envelope was blown up like a paper bag so it would give when I hit Penny with it. That night I waited and sure enough, Penny went into attack mode on me. I swatted her lightly with the envelope. She thought I was playing and went to attack again. I swatted her 3 quick swats in a row startling her. Penny stopped. I said, "No Bites! Bad Birdie! give kisses." Penny has been fine with me ever since. However, she still attacks my Wife. My wife is still too afraid to give the lite swats to Penny with the envelope to get her to stop her attacks. Hopefully this week my Wife will get the courage to let her have it. This is a terrible thing for Penny to do. My Wife is brokenhearted because she loves Penny beyond reason and can't understand why she attacks like she does. I feel my solution to the problem is a good one. It doesn't hurt the bird because she is hit with litterally an air-pillow. And it startles her so she will remember she will be punished if she bites hard. I would like feedback on this technique from any of you that have a similar problem with their birds biting. So far it has worked for me. Penny doesn't attack me anymore and I only had to do this once. Please e-mail me at; YE5041@EXMAIL.USMA.ARMY.MIL Thank You. Ed Ragnone P.S Please send me Quakervilles correct e-mail address. I cant seem to get to it. Feel Free to Post this in Quakerville for me. Thank you.

CommentsWe love your page and thanks for sharing the stories about how you got each quaker. I noticed your two males bonded. Did they reject the female in favor of each other? The reason I'm asking is I would like to MAYBE get Elmo a companion, but I don't want to deal with egg binding, babies, stealing eggs, etc.! So I'm interested to know if two males picked each other in favor of the female, or didn't they have a chance to bond with her? Thanks!
CommentsJust discovered the website, mommy birdy! Its been the most fun I've had since Phoebe & Phoenix were purloined 2 years ago. Loved the bath time stories! Hopefully I'll have some new feathered friends in the not too distant future.
CommentsYour bird are nice. Keep up the good work. We have a baby quaker named Gump. It's our first quaker as a pet.
Commentsi relly liked your little story. i thought it was cute. i read it to my 7 year old tonight. thanks.
CommentsWe currently have 4 adult cockatiels and 2 babies about ready to leave the nesting box. Most of these are "rescue projects", and 4 new eggs that are being sat. Tomorrow we are picking up our first Quacker from a young lady that does not have time for him. He has gotten so bored that he has plucked a lot of his feathers. He has been see by the vet and has been given a clean bill of health except that he is bored. So maybe with some loving care and kindness we can prove to him that our house is a good place for him to live. Updates to follow.
CommentsHi there.. Thanks for telling me about Quakerville. Been exploring off and on today and just found your site. Enjoyed your pics..and hey..we know who the Master's are don't we? (the birds of course..hee hee) Pauliana
CommentsHi Mommy Birdy, Remember me from the Quaker list? (it's been a couple of years) I'm trying to reach Shelly Lane or Heike to get back on the list (if there is room) but I can't find either of their email addresses or web pages. I don't suppose you'd be willing to help me would you? I'd really appreciate it. I miss the list terribly. Thanks for any help you can give me. Anita

Commentshi i really liked your pics they were cute.i do not have only one bird but two they are petey & taz.
CommentsLooked a your pages and they are very cute pictures wanted to get with you to ask some questions about how the bird acts when he does certain things so if you could me I would love that.
CommentsSomewhere recently I saw a list of 10 ways to tell if you are a quaker slave. I can't find it again. Do you have any idea where I can get it again?
CommentsI understand completely! As a fellow quaker-slave and cat servant. Dumb animals???NOT. I can give you some stories if you'd like.
CommentsWhat a cute bunch of birdies!!! We sure had a good time reading their life stories. Great talking with you the other day.
CommentsNero loves to take a bath. He does not care what kind of a bowl or pan the water is in. If I splash the water first, thats all it takes, he just jumps in. What a joy it is to watch a bird bathe!
CommentsYou have nice looking birds I love my quacker and plan to buy another one. How can you tell if they are male or female? I wish I knew because I am new with all this, but I will enjoy them. Thank you
CommentsI know mommy birdie. Hi mommy. Love your crazy girl.:-)

CommentsMR. Qucker is not to original a name what can I say. We have 6 tiels, 2 parottletts and my precious busy Mr. Q I would not trade any of them. I have just started looking at your pictures etc. And your birds are all beautiful. I can not tell you how much I love my little quacker. These guys sure can get a bad rap can' they? I am still learning about them. You are right we are the slaves to them but I love every minuet of it. Feel free to write it would be fun to have a quacker pen pal. Dawn P.S, I live in Mi. Where are you from?
CommentsI got my parrot in May of this year (99). He talks alot. I sure do love him, he also like my husband. We both spend lots of time with him and he loves to give kisses, or just says (Give me a kiss baby)Love my Quarker. Thanks for a great page.
Commentsnoodle is about 1 year old and he says alot of stuff as in; What's up doc., hello, Alaska, buba, what, pretty bird, ny-nyght, sweet dreams, and afew other stuff. We never had to put a sheet over his cage at night, he has a hollow log on top of his cage you turn off the lights and he will go to sleep. The only problem is that some people he does not like he will not let them talk in the room, he will do that loud squackin noise until they leave. He will bite any one that even gets ner him. other than that he is a great bird.
CommentsI loved your idea of a large branch in a chrisrmas stand.........I am going to work on it.......we still just are a one bird family one lonely parrotlet but he rules the roost.....I am interested in bird fairs or bird marts in your area....as we are not that far away.............Thank you.........Sandy.................Those quackers sure seem to have the personalities... Do you do bird saves...................sandy
CommentsDon't feel bad-my hubby told me NO MORE BIRDS, but he can't resist a cute face any more than I can.... Our Quakers choose not to interact with our other birds, except to see what mischief they can make!! In addition to our Quakers, we have 6 tiels, 1 parakeet, 1 lovebird, and a Senegal named Malcolm. Wish us luck because there is a bird show this weekend.......
CommentsI really enjoyed looking at your pictures. Quakers are not given the credit they so richley deserve. They are wonderful pets, talk very young, a clowns at heart and bring complete enjoyment to the owners. Thank you for your web page. I enjoyed it.
CommentsHow did you get started with Quakers? They are one of my most favorite birds in the world. I have Grannys Bird House in Rolla Mo. And have 5 pairs of these wonderful birds. Thank you for caring about them.Roxanna Sass
CommentsI RECENTLY PURCHASED A QUAKER, AFTER READING ALOT ABOUT THEM MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY INTERESTED IN GETTING ONE. WE PICKED HIM UP 5 DAYS AGO, AND HE HAS YET TO MAKE ANY KIND OF NOISE. EVERYTHING WE HAVE READ ABOUT HIM SAYS THEY ARE VERY VOCAL, BUT WE HAVE BARELY HEARD A PEEP OUT OF HIM. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT, THANKYOU VERY MUCH. ALSO HE IS IN THE SAME ROOM AS OUR COCKATIELS COULD THIS BE A PROBLEM?
Commentsi have been owned by pedro for the past 4 and a half years. he was my first bird, i've always had dogs. i have never been shown more love and affection by anything on this earth as that little bird shows me. my life would be dull and lonely without him. whenever i feel alone or down, he knows exactly how to cheer me. i love him so......

Commentslove the pics of your children... what a family you have! when i got jadie feb 1st of '99 at the age of 7wks,my life changed. i am 22 and always dreamed of being owned by a bird, so a 1 1/2 after i moved out, i did lots of research and decided that a Quaker was the bird for me. luckily i found a breeder that was close by. he was wonderful, he had a house full of birds, dogs, cats and children, which i liked knowing jadie got all that great interaction right from the start. jadie is very affectionate, and at 8 months old says at least 11 words/phrases already, and knows exactly what each one means and what it gets him! jadie, jessie(my very much loved dog), and i live in an apt alone now and jadie is starting to become VERY possessive, and jealous of my time and attention towards anyone or anything, even the computer! and he thinks that screaming is the way to do so. any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! my babies choose my dates... if they like them... they must be AOK ;D and if i get a sense that they don't like them... they can hit the road! i plan in the future to get another QP, and my goal is a hyacinth macaw, but i know i need a LOT more experience before i can get to that point. Hope to hear from you! Marisa and Jadie :)
CommentsI just purchased my first Quaker parrot from someone who was moving out of town.I don't know any thing about birds.I need help fast! What do i do first. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Davida ancrum
CommentsI love my little buddy so much. She is the perfect bird. What an amazing little personality. I rescued her from a wildlife rehab center in South Florida, they did not know that she had not yet weaned. I am so glad I could save this silly little bundle.

CommentsGreat pages. Quakers are delighful birds and great fun. My wife is now handfeeding 2 babies that Pretty Baby and Samantha have blessed us with. Keep up the good work.
CommentsTONIGHT WE JUST RESCUED A YOUNG QUAKER THAT FELL FROM ONE OF OUR TREES THAT IS THE HOME OF A VERY LARGE FAMILY OF APPROXIMATLEY 80 QUAKERS. WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THESE BIRDS FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE ENJOYED WATCHING THEM ENTERTAIN PASSER-BYS AND EACH OTHER. GRACIE'S AT THE DOCTORS TONIGHT GETTING A CHECK UP AND WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT SHE HAS A BROKEN WING AND IS IN SHOCK, BUT THAT SHE SHOULD BE FINE. OBVIOUSLY WE'RE NOT SURE OF HER SEX BUT (SHE) SUITS HER SUITS FINE FOR NOW. WE DON'T KNOW HER AGE BUT SHE CAN FLY. WE PLAN ON HAVING HER JOIN OUR FAMILY ASSUMING SHE CANNOT RETURN TO HER FAMILY. IF SHE CAN WE WILL SET HER FREE WHEN THE TIME COMES. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. I HAVE HAD BIRDS BEFORE, BUT NEVER A WILD ONE. YOUR WEBSITE WAS SUCH A JOY TO FIND!!!!! THANK YOU R.E
CommentsVery nice photos hope to see more.......

CommentsI love this page! So much information packed in one place! I love all the pictures! This is the first time I have ever even seen yellow quakers. Jo and Polly
CommentsWhat a wonderful crew of QP's!!!!!!! Orson is a girl I bought 7 years ago when a year old. She was on consignment at a pet shop. I named her after Orson Welles, the late actor. A year later, I found the first egg, but the name stuck. She shares the home with 3 male Shelties, show and preformance dogs in herding and obedience. Since I travel a lot to dog shows, I have restricted myself to one QP. I love the little green rascal dearly and like the Shelties, understands that it's her house, too. I know that you are all having a good time together and that your mom loves you dearly.
Commentsnice pictures

CommentsHi, I enjoyed your page. I am presently waiting on my new little friend to be born into the world. He/she will be hand fed until he/she is old enough to be shipped to me here in Pa from Fla. I can't wait. In the meantime I am reading and learning as much as I possibly can before the homecoming. I wish I had my little friend now. But I really can't wait. I have owned other birds in my lifetime. I once had 2 cocketeils, 2 parakeets, and 2 finches. This will be my first Quaker. If you have any pointers that you think will be helpful please email me with the tips. Thankyou and Thankyou again for allowing me to visit with you and your little friends. Phyllis
CommentsI haven't met them ( the birds) yet. My son and I will go to a co-worker's house to purchase them tomorrow. Their current owner is alergic to them. I thought I'd get aquainted with what we're about to own (or from what you're saying, those that are about to own US!) Bambi and Bubba are a pair and are about Two years old. They do speak and whistle and are hand fed/tame. I'm looking forward to bringing them home. Do you have any comments or advise you may want to share? We also own two cockateils; Superbird and Beezer and a also parakeet named Buddy. I also wanted to let you know that of all the choices for sites, Yours stood out to me and is the only one I opened today. Good Job!
Commentswhat ya mean be nice???Texan'sare allllways nice.... My babies sure appreciated me after the 2 days I was at the parrot connference in Houston. Belle especially so. lots of kisses and I love yous and snuggles from her. " Not the momma" had fed her and changed her water and she doesnt really care for "not the momma". so I guess she figured she had better show momma that she really really missed her. "not the momma" is my husband Paul who drove to Tulsa to becky C.'s to get her for me and hasn't a clue to her cost.....if'en he did I'm sure he would really get ticked off at her standoffishness towards him.hahahahahah.Hope to see you again soon maybe in Ok. for the NQLD. when ever they have it....Linda
CommentsMommy Birdy, just looking around the net on a Sunday afternoon. Found your birdy pages. What a nice diversion. They are too cute!!
CommentsReal nice web pages hon
CommentsHi Mommy Birdy! You have beautiful LGCs. We've had Raleigh (or she's had us) for two years now, and she's become our child...and what a wonderful one. Two questions: first, how do you tell them apart? Raleigh has a dimple in her forehead, but I don't see enough others to know if they all do or not... second, I noticed you had a dog (a golden?) in one of your pictures - do the Quakers and the dog get along? We're thinking of getting a Sheltie in a year or so, and want to make sure that Raleigh will be ok. Thanks!
CommentsMommy Bird, Wonderful photos. I envy you having 4 of these little devils but right now Kiwi is enough. Maybe someday. Love to ready the posts that Quaker, Cookie, Stoney and Kiki write - they have a wonderful sense of humor. Well guys let Kiki write more often. good work

CommentsMeagan was a rescue of sorts. She had been rescued from a very unhealthy environment, and was on her way to California. Our friend who had her stopped to say hello, and Meagan immediately bonded to me. Audrey gave her to us, because she said she didn't know what she'd do with her in California, and she seemed happy with us. Several days later we found out she would have been destroyed at the California/Arizona border. We dearly love her. Every time we start laughing at something, Meagan starts laughing, and pretty soon we're all three hysterical. Best regards, Bob
CommentsLove your twisted little Holiday message! You're such a slave! May the new year bring youmany more budgies! (did I say that?)

CommentsWe love our Quaker and are learning that HE owns us not the other way around.
CommentsI got a quaker about two or three weeks ago. They called him bubba at the pet store. What a charector. Very affectionate. And smart. I think he is trying to talk. He can open his own cage and get out if it isn't locked, and likes to get in the parakeets cage. They don't seem to min it too much and aren't afraid of him. Can't explain it. He is almost like a little green person...so alert. Misses nothing. It is like he looks into you. He loves to kiss, and bobs up in down when you do. I think he will turn out to be a very good bird. Sometimes I think he actually says words. How does one actually teach a bird to talk, or do they just pick it up. I have started out with just a couple of dumb phrases like PRETTY BOY and HELLO BABY. Is it my imagination or do I hear those phrases coming out of him some time. He just loves me. Loves to cuddle next to my neck and nibble on my ear. If he nibbles too hard I say OUCH, THAT HURTS. I never imagined having a parrot or one that is so much fun. Our dog just tolerates him. I think his nose is out of joint, because he looks depressed when the bird is out. I do keep an eye out. Not having another to compare him too I have no idea how smart he actually is, but based on what I have seen, I suspect he is very smart. As for the HE who knows. It is only important to him/her, and I won't waste the money to have him tested. It isn't important to us, so he gets called she sometimes.
CommentsYou have some very handsome Babies. Especially those two little prissy ones. Koukla thinks so too. I think , perhaps she may remember meeting them.
