Welcome to
Jadey's nest!
My name is Jennifer, and my journey into the
world of quaker slaves began with the sad loss of my 7-year-old budgie Bluey. Bluey was
the last of 4 budgies that had been a part of my life since childhood. The week after Bluey flew away (hard lesson learned about wing clipping), my
parents and I went to Birds by Veta, a bird store in Lexington, SC, in search of a new
bird. I had never even heard of quakers until that day, but I immediately fell in love
with the cute babies. So on August 29, 1993, Jadey came home with us. She was about 7
weeks old, and counting back, that put her hatchday in the middle of July, right about my
birthday! Ever since that day, Jadey has been my baby, and very much a part of the family.

Casey is my Italian
greyhound. He was born on June 4, 1995 at Marchwind Kennels in Virginia and joined our
family on July 29 when he was 8 weeks old. Casey is our second dog. Our first was a cocker
spaniel named Crocker
who no longer lives with us. |
