It's always a very sad time when we loose a special pet
companion. Our pets become so much a part of our lives that they become an extension of
our family. In the short time I worked on Georgi's site, I came to know a little of both
Georgi and her captor Paula. I listened and held my breath as Paula told the unfolding
story of the egg that would not pass and I was hopeful. It was with tears I read the final
chapter knowing that Paula and Georgi were best of friends. I now leave this web page as a
reminder to Georgi, a friend and loved one to Paula.
Georgianna, you will be missed.

What follow are
heart felt condolences from your internet family on the Quaker Parakeet list.
I just read your very sad story. I feel for
you so deeply. What a tragedy. You are right that you were blessed to have your Georgie
for a brief while. I'm glad you had each other. Maybe some day, when the time is right,
you'll find another soul who matches yours as well.
In the meantime, my thoughts are with you
and I hope that Georgie's memory serves as a blessing forever.--- Ellen
I'm so sorry for your loss. Please take
time to heal before you close your heart to another Quaker. here just might be one out
there that needs your love and caring. Love from Pat & Xuxa
You know how we all feel. My heart goes out
to you and I am sorry to see you leave the list-we ill miss you-but I understand if it is
simply too painful. Consider though, that it may be difficult to find thers who understand
what you're going through. No matter what you're feeling-change grief, nger, cheated, we
will understand and it will be OK to say it here. I too once had a pet that I experienced
that "mystical bond" with, from the very first moment. It was a cat, and when
she died, I lost a part of myself. Your anxiety from the beginning was probably due to
that bond. Your mother's heart knew what science could not tell. I have other much loved
pets, but never another that touched me like my very special cat...until Louie. It can
happen again, but you're right, there is no replacement. How special that she came to the
one person who could love and appreciate her the most. When you are able to see through
your tears again, think on this...there is something she came to teach you, to give you.
What was it? For every person that holds an animal friend that close to their heart, the
answer is different.
Love to you, to Georgi, and all your other
Valryn and Louie
Nobody could have loved a bird more or
cared for her better than you did. You did everything you possibly could for her and loved
her so well that her life must have been joy.
Of course no bird could ever replace her in
your life....your bond was unique and wonderful.
In an article I read somewhere recently,
the loss of a pet was called a "little sorrow". I believe it is perhaps the
greatest sorrow of all for some of us. Let us help if we can.
I'm soo sorry to hear about Georgi. Wishing
you the best in the future.
Joan & Cupid
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our
thoughts are with you..
Barb and Izzy......
After pulling myself together I felt the
need to write to you. I am so shocked. I thought your beloved baby would pull through. I
am sorry for your loss. Please, please, please, consider getting another Quaker. Maybe not
right now, but Paula you have so such much love to give. It would be a shame to not get
another one. Your right it may not be Georgi, but it too will be
special. Please think about it. We also
don't want to loose you from the QP list.
I know everyone on this list was hoping the
news would be different. The love and caring that you showed during this tragedy is
Georgianna will remain in our thoughts and
They say if you fall off a horse you should
get right back on. Please do not be afraid to show your love to another Quaker. These
beautiful birds need you.
Best and Warmest regards,
Bill and Jade
My deepest sympathy on losing Georgi. It
sounds like the time she had with you brought joy to the both of you.

Paula...I'm so very sorry about Georgie but

meet you again...;)

My heart goes out to you and Georgi. I know
how it feels to to loose a loved one. I hope Georgi will always be in your heart and I
know you will never forget her. When the time comes I hope you will get a new quaker to
fill in a little lost love. I know it probably won't replace
georgi, but It'll give you your own special
new kind of love.
I am so sorry you lost her, and I know
there's nothing I can say that will help you feel better. We get to love these little
guys, as well as other pets, so much, and for most of them, even when they live out their
full life expectancy, we find that they are gone too soon. Hope you can heal enough to
become the slave of another bird, if not another quaker.
My heart breaks with yours for Georgi!
There are no words to comfort you---only time will ease the pain.
Oh, Paula, I am so very very sorry. There
are no words that express what I am feeling for you tonight. I cry for you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Georgie was
very fortunate to have you for a mommy. You made her time here truly special! My prayers
are with you.

My heart goes out to you. I cried when I
read your note. If there is anything I can do let me know. And I just want to thank
everyone for the warm welcome and good advice. I'm learning a lot just by reading all the
messages. -- Suki
OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH NNNNNNOOOOOOO!!!!! I can't
imagine how you feel, but there is a big gash on my chest where my heart is bleeding for
you!!! I do hope you get another quaker, there is as you know no other pet in the world
At the very least I did learn a tremendous
amount about egg laying (and other problems). I just wonder what happened. You were so
I am so sorry,

My heart is breaking for you, I am sooo
Wish it were different... I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry about Georgi, I hope you have
lots of support around in addition to us here on the list. Take care,

Paula, You have my deepest sympathy over
your loss of Georgi. She is in God`s hands now. I hope you stay on the list but if not may
God be with you in your time of need.

On Monday I will be at Sea World. Since the
Memorial is not held on-line I have packed a candle and a copy of the little service. At
the appropriate time I will light my candle and do the little service with my family. (So
what, peopple already KNOW I am crazy.....and I will never see those people at Sea World
again anyway.) Hoping everybody else can do the ceremony. Georgianna is, I am sure, being
shown around, and indoctrinated into the pleasures of Rainbow bridge by all the little
friends that have gone on before. I am SURE that Dakota(budgie), McGyver(tiel),
Tweety(budgie), Slick(budgie), Micky(budgie),Nicky(budgie) and all others are even as we
speak welcoming Georgi and showing her the never empty food dish, the fountain of running
water, the bird baths, and the ever present millet bushes.
Paula - I am so very sorry to hear that you
lost Georgi....I know how much trauma you two went through this week. Life can be so
fragile and fleeting...please know you are surrounded by prayers this evening, for we all
care for you as one of our family. I KNOW that our pets go to heaven and we will see them
again, for how could God expect us to be happy in heaven without our little loved ones? My
mother is in heaven and she really loves animals, I am picturing Georgi being held in her
loving hands right now... I know this will be a tough night for you, please stay on the
list so we can know how you are doing, we are all here for you. Love,
