CommentsYour Gabby is so beautiful ! I'd appreciate some hints to teach Lori some words , she's about 4 months old and I only can get her to say "hello" (but she says it very well and looks so cute) . I'm from Argentina , the country of origin of quakers , you can see then flying freely in here , and there are about 100 living in the park across the street , for what I see I think you'd love to be here . ( Excuse my English - I'm still working on it)
Commentsenjoyed your homepage and looking for friends of other QUAKER owners
CommentsThis bird is the joy of my life. He is very talkative can sing, sneeze, cough and laugh(he's laughing at us now!) I can almost have a converstion with him. He asks for a bath when he wants one. He calls the cat and dogs by name and is generally a member of our family. Jill.
CommentsHi, I also adore the Quakers. Still don't know the truth, parrots or parrakeets. I am handfeeding one I Just purchase, straight from the egg, it is 2 wks now and getting big and eating well. I have no knowledge of them, when to start putting food in the tank, or what to do next. Guess and by golly and do my best. If you have time could you email me back and advise me? I live in Norman OK and have about 50 birds and several varietys. Thankyou and Gabby looks sweet. Thank you for your time.
Commentsyou have a very sweet site for your bird! my peeps is sitting here with me, trying to chew on the keys (I think he wants to write something too). i'm happy to see another quaker owner who is proud of her bird (and a bird who is proud of her owner, of course) :)
CommentsHi, We Just got a baby imperial quacker today. He is 8 weeks old. We need some advice on feeding. How much does the parrot eat a day? We have baby food (mixed) to give him till it runs out. Then other baby food till that runs out. We are hand feeding Nevada, but do not know how much to give him. Please help! Sandy and Jay Ross
CommentsYou have a beautiful quaker. I'm thinking of buying one right now but it's a little bit hard to find one in Virginia. Also the price is higher.
CommentsI've just adopted a quaker today after several months of contomplating whether to or not.I just didn't want to rush intoanything befor I was sure I knew what I was getting my- self into.I wanted to get one that was being hand fed and watched for several week this one clutch grow and when I decided to go and buy one they were all spoken for.So I had to wait for the next clutch to grow and in the mean time someone decided to change their mind and I just happened to be there when they said this particular bird could go home now so I choose to take this one instead of the baby. It's from the same breeder and the bird is very sociable and has been around alot of people. So I think I made a good choice and get to take the bird home on Thursday,July 2nd.I'm really excited and choose the name"Pickles",one of my students said I should name the bird this since it was green,(He's four years old)I thought this would be a good name.So I'll take any advice you may have and look forward to hearing from you and yours.Thank You,Marcia Escobedo

CommentsHi! I really enjoyed your page. I have a webpage you might be interested in. It's called, "Wndwkr's Bird & Animal Room". The URL is: http:// members.tripod.com/~Wndwkr/WndwkrsRoom.html. I have 30 links to date, most of them by percentage are quaker links. Stop by for a visit! By the way, you have some cute pictures, too. §teve
CommentsI love Quakers

CommentsMy husband is interested in aquiring a quaker. We currently have a lovebird, Sweetie. She is a clown too. We're having difficulty finding anyone to talk to about quakers. We've discovered they are illegal to own in GA and were recently told they were illegal in TN as well. We are TN residents. I will to more research. Linda Gay of Ooltewah, TN (near Chattanooga)
CommentsYour poem says it all. I love kelly so much she/he makes me laugh so hard. When the lights are out for bed , pretty soon you hear this soft laugh and of course I start laughing and she says love you big kiss. she/he does so many funny things but I think she was abused before I got her. She has no feathers on her chest and under her wings I cannot seem to get her to stop it. She is with me from the time I get up and leave in the a m then I come home and she is with me till bed time. On the week end she is attached. She appears to be afraide of water and is now letting me take her into the shower. But I love her so much. My cats can't believe that bird. Kelly thinks it is ok to eat between two of my cats. They do not bother her. I loved your page.
CommentsJust got bubba today...october 28. Don't b;ame me for the name. The guys at the pet store named him (her?), and so I decided to stay with it. He was a little older (8 months) then the others, so no one wanted him. What a charector. Like to play "dead bird" and tickle. I have twp keets, in another cage of course. I know nothing about quaker parrots. I understand they can be taught to talk quite easily. Also how do you sex one short of DNA testing. Appreciate the info. Or anything you have time to tell me. Judith.
