Toby
Our Latest Addition to the Family

TOBY499.jpg (5771 bytes)

Toby came to us in March, 1999.  The family he was living with was moving, and they could not take him with them.  We were lucky enough to be able to welcome him into our home.  He was hatched in 1996, and is a Texas born Quaker.  (Both Nub and Bogey are Okies) Tby499d.jpg (11369 bytes)

Toby loves his toy balls.  His latest trick is to carry the ball to the top of the playgym, then grab the ball with his foot and shake it over his head.  I am always laughing too hard to capture that one, but I am trying to keep the camera handy for a good shot..

Toby is still getting to know the other birds.  At a recent Quaker get together, we actually had 11 Quakers on one playgym.  The birds all loved the interaction.  I wonder what Toby must have thought, being in a new home, and having that many guests.
He had been plucking his legs and neck when he first got here, but the feathers are growing back, and I have not seen any more signs of plucking.
I will be adding more photos of Toby as I take them.
