Quaker
Panorama
Here is a wide view of our wild bunch. They all look very much
alike yet if you look closely you will see differences. I have noticed unique features on
allmost all of these little green fowl. Look at their faces and you will be able to see
different eyes and grey patches, or one will be a little heavier or thinner. When my wife
jogs in the morning she will see a flock of about a dozen fly overhead. Most are regular
size birds while two are leading the flock and appear to be considerably larger. These two
we call "super" Quakers. They seem to be maybe the point guards and lookouts for
the rest of the flock. They will be the dominant birds in the flock. I have also observed
these "super" Quakers in the nest and the seem to be the boss.
